When you finally sit down to rest, guilt appears. "I should be doing something. I need to be productive."

My support is different

For 14 years, I've worked as a Registered Occupational Therapist in mental health services. Occupational therapy is the science of helping people build meaningful, sustainable lives.


We're regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council. We use evidence-based frameworks. We don't just talk about change, we build the actual practices, routines, and systems that make change sustainable.


The Aligned and Intentional Framework™ was built on the occupational therapy models I've used to transform hundreds of lives in clinical practice, combined with my own journey from burnout to balance.

Hi, I'm Karen, Registered Occupational Therapist and founder of From Doing To Being.


I understand what it's like to put other people first and feel like you've lost yourself. To be constantly busy yet never feel like you're doing enough. To feel guilty for resting and selfish for doing anything just for you.


Because I've been there too.


For 14 years, I've worked in mental health services, using occupational therapy frameworks to help hundreds of people build sustainable, meaningful lives. My approach is trauma-informed, compassion-focused, and values-led.


After experiencing my own period of overwhelm and disconnection, I finally started taking my own clinical advice. The change was profound. This work isn't theoretical to me, I've lived it, and now I guide others through it.


I believe deeply in this work because I've experienced its power myself. It's time to put yourself first, and I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way 💜
